Kamnik-Savinijan Alps

The Kamnik-Savinja Alps offer some of the most beautiful hiking and skiing trails in Slovenia. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a beginner, there's a trail for you. With an elevation of up to 2,500 meters and an area of around 2,000 km², the Kamnik-Savinja Alps are a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

  1. Velika Planina: Known for its picturesque meadows and traditional shepherds' huts. This trail is perfect for those looking for a more relaxed hike. The trail is relatively easy and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. After a long hike, you can stop at a shepherd's hut and enjoy a local meal called "žganci in kislo mleko", and immerse the Slovenian culture.

  2. Grintovec: Offers a challenging hike with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This trail is more challenging than Velika Planina and it's recommended for more experienced hikers. The trail takes you to the summit of Grintovec, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps.

  3. Ski resort Krvavec: A popular ski destination with well-groomed slopes, modern ski lifts, and excellent ski schools. You can enjoy your winter day on 13 different lifts that add together more than 30km of trails, so your winter adventure in the Slovenian mountains will be perfect.

Life is beautiful, but only if you live it to its fullest potential.
